Gallery Internship Big Medium - Austin, TX 78702 Internship Position
Summary: The Gallery intern plays a supporting role in the Big Medium
gallery, and reports to the Director of Programming and the Program
Coordinator. This internship is an excellent introduction to nonprofit
arts programming and production. The Gallery intern will act as a
representative of Big Medium and play an important role in our small,
energetic, collaborative team. 6-15 hours/week Compensation: College

Responsibilities * Act as Gallery attendant providing visitor services
during gallery hours and openings * Track and record visitor data *
Assist with install and deinstall * Uphold an high standard of care for
the gallery windows, walls, floors, and lighting * Assist with packaging
and shipping artwork after shows * Maintain an inventory of gallery
supplies * Represent Big Medium by tabling at events * Distribute
promotional materials * Assist with data collection * Post information
about exhibitions * Update and maintain press archives Qualifications
Art handling experience strongly preferred Commitment to Big Mediums
mission Excellent verbal communication skills Excellent organizational
skills, self-motivated, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle
several tasks while meeting deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Excel Job
