    Our busy quick service restaurant is looking for a cook who enjoys working in a fast-paced atmosphere. We need someone to prepare food stations, cook a large volume of food, and ensure that all food safety and storage rules are followed. Our ideal applicant has prior food industry experience, preferably in fast food, quick service, or fast casual restaurants, as well as a willingness to learn. Responsibilities: • Guarantee that quality food is supplied by following specified storage and waste control requirements for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products • Use thermometers to check that food has reached an appropriate temperature before serving it • Prepare meals in accordance with the instructions printed on food order tickets or delivered verbally by staff • Stock ingredients needed for food items by washing, cutting, dicing, or slicing them as needed • Clean equipment and work surfaces at the end of each shift, including sweeping floors, mopping, and cleaning counters Qualifications: • Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic • Previous experience working in fast food or quick service restaurant is preferred • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently • Candidates need a strong understanding of compliance with kitchen safety and food storage requirements • Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers Compensation: $23,000 - $29,000 yearly
