Job Description

BigBear.ai is seeking a UI/UX Developer to create the interfaces for data-driven products which answer questions and provide advice in intuitive, engaging ways. A successful candidate will have the experience applying JavaScript frameworks to render charts and graphs, be familiar with UX design best practices, and be eager to proactively visualize the results of the analytics produced by AI/ML engines. The UI/UX Developer will help ensure that “the BigBear way” is consistent, pushes the envelope of what is possible, and differentiated.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Participate in the design and perform the development of product interfaces 

·       Ensure interfaces are intuitive, visually appealing, and well branded 

·       Deliver well documented, formatted, tested, and efficient code on schedule 

·       Work very collaboratively with a development team to ensure goals are met and team is effective 

·       Support education of marketers, trainers, and other corporate staff on use and capabilities of interfaces 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN UI AND SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT 

·       Expertise with the following: 

o   All phases of software engineering to include requirements analysis, development, testing and integration, maintenance, and problem resolution. 

o   JavaScript frameworks, particularly ReactJS, NodeJS, and MaterialUI 

o   Interfacing with RESTful APIs 

o   Resolving cross-browser compatibility issues 

o   Incorporating, configuring, and customizing charting, mapping, and other visualization capabilities like D3JS, Leaflet, and Plotly 

o   Visualizing data aggregations to answer specific questions, especially via a dashboard which allows self-service data filtering and exploration 

o   Designing and implementing modern design patterns 

o   Leveraging asynchronous and parallel processing mechanisms like WebWorkers 

o   Managing client state management and data cache frameworks like Redux 

o   Git-based workflow tools and concepts (GitHub, Branching, Pull Requests or similar) 

o   Using and writing automated tests with a test runner (Selenium, Jasmine, Mocha, QUnit or similar) 

o   Understanding of and the ability to write queries against SQL, NoSQL, and graph storage systems  

[Preferred:]

·       Degree in a technical field 

·       UX or human factors design certification 

·       Experience with 3D and augmented/virtual reality visualization frameworks 

·       Experience with mobile application development
