POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time, in office position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. . with a 1 hour non-paid lunch break.
SUMMARY Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate staff members, document scanning, scheduling patient appointments, document coordination with other physician offices, as well as additional clerical duties.

Ability to multi-task and manage multiple incoming calls is a requirement.
Greets and directs patients as well as discharges patients and provides instructions.
Takes and retrieves messages for various personnel.
Provides callers with information such as company address, directions, insurance related questions, fax numbers, company website and other related information and policy matters.
Assists in the retrieval of medical information for staff members and outside offices.
Assists with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating.
Contacting patients to clarify orders, relay physician directions, provide test results ect.
Maintaining the confidentiality of patient records and patient information.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT This job requires in office onsite attendance. This job operates in a multi-employee professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Experience working in a fast paced office setting is a requirement
High School Diploma or greater
Bilingual a plus but not required
Experience working in a medical office a plus
COMPENSATION:
$12 to $13 hourly
