    Bikes Make Life Better designs and operates world-class bicycle programs for large organizations that have a strong commitment to sustainable transportation. We are seeking two Program Coordinators who will work onsite at a client location in San Francisco to help promote safe bike commuting to, from and around their corporate campus.

    The role of the Program Coordinator is to encourage employees to bike commute to/from work and encourage safe cycling habits around campus. They provide these services by developing and promoting programs such as bike events, classes/clinics, group rides, one-to-one consults, routing assistance, and onsite amenities that encourage bicycling as safe and effective transportation.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop, promote and execute programs to encourage new bike riders
    • Respond to employee requests and questions about bike commuting, bike-related amenities and local bikeshare
    • Develop support materials for safe routes to/from headquarters
    • Create educational and marketing materials to promote bike commuting and the safe use of local bikeshare
    • Develop, promote and facilitate classes on bike safety, bike commuting and basic bike maintenance
    • Lead group rides, model safe riding
    • Plan and execute annual Bike-to-Work Day
    • Coordinate and staff all bike-related events, such as monthly tabling events, classes and rides
    • Develop and manage a Bike Champions program 
    • Represent the bike program at all transportation events
    • Support end-of-trip bike facilities, including input into bike parking solutions; basic repair of DIY bike repair stations; and stocking of vending machines (if applicable)
    • Assist in data collection and analysis that measures the bike program against established key performance indicators
    • Assist employees with the use of transportation and/or bike technologies or platforms
    • Collaborate with Transportation and other relevant departments

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Passion for, and experience with, bike commuting
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher
    • 2-4 years of project management, curriculum development, or similar
    • Ability to be proactive and self-directed to anticipate client needs
    • Smart, creative problem solver
    • Reliable, responsible, - and team player
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Customer service driven, with emphasis on responsiveness and professionalism
    • Detail oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills
    • Proven ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, team members, suppliers and others 
    • Good time management, budget management and multi-tasking skills
    • Fluency with Google Drive and MS Suite, plus comfort with Slack, CRM, collaboration and bulk email platforms
    • Basic bike mechanic skills preferred
    • Graphic design skills a plus
    • Photography/videography experience a plus
    • Experience working in a corporate environment a plus

    COMPENSATION

    $26-28/hour (weekdays only)
