Role Description – Lead Infant Teacher (Full-Time): We are urgently seeking a warm, experienced, and bilingual Lead Infant Teacher to join our MAG family in Farmington, MI. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour unpaid lunch. The ideal candidate is passionate about infant care, fluent in Spanish and English, and confident in leading a nurturing and developmentally rich classroom for children aged 6 weeks to 12 months.
Our current Lead Infant Teacher will be transitioning out in just two weeks, so we are looking for someone who can start immediately to ensure a smooth handoff and continuity of care for our little ones.
Required Qualifications: Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required
CDA with Infant/Toddler focus OR Associate/Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred
Minimum 2 years of infant care experience in a licensed center
CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)
Familiarity with state licensing regulations
Skills & Traits:
Fluency in both Spanish and English (required)
Deep love and patience for infants
Strong leadership and classroom management skills
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication with families and coworkers
Responsibilities: Infant Care & Development:
Provide a safe, clean, and comforting space that supports each infant’s unique development
Create and implement thoughtful lesson plans aligned with developmental milestones
Handle feeding, diapering, and soothing with love and attentiveness
Curriculum & Observation:
Design age-appropriate sensory, motor, and social activities
Track and document developmental progress
Conduct parent-teacher meetings and provide regular updates
Team Leadership:
Guide and mentor assistant teachers and floaters in the classroom
Delegate daily tasks effectively while modeling best practices
Foster a positive and collaborative classroom environment
Family Engagement:
Build trust through clear and consistent communication with families
Offer support and guidance on infant development and routines
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
