  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking a Lab Technician (Chemist) III to join a pharmaceutical laboratory environment. This role is responsible for performing routine chemical analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products in compliance with GMP and GLP standards.

    This position requires strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and experience working with analytical laboratory equipment.

    Shift: 2nd Shift – Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate chemical and physical properties of pharmaceutical substances
    • Perform routine chemical analysis of raw materials, process intermediates, and finished products following GMP guidelines
    • Prepare volumetric test solutions and mobile phases
    • Utilize and operate laboratory equipment including HPLC, ICP, ICP-MS, GC, UV, and FT-NIR
    • Perform titration techniques and analytical testing
    • Calculate, interpret, and review test results
    • Prepare test reports and maintain accurate lab notebooks
    • Maintain documentation in accordance with SOPs, cGLP, and quality standards
    • Perform Phase I OOS investigations as required
    • Operate, calibrate, maintain, and qualify laboratory equipment
    • Maintain laboratory housekeeping, including waste disposal, gas cylinder transfer, and glassware washing
    • Dispose of laboratory waste in compliance with EPA regulations
    • Follow all laboratory safety rules and procedures
    • Assist senior chemists as needed
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a Science-related discipline (Chemistry preferred) or equivalent experience
    • 1–3 years of laboratory experience (pharmaceutical industry preferred)
    • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
    • Knowledge of GMP, GLP, and laboratory safety practices
    • Experience with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, ICP-MS, GC, UV, and FT-NIR
    • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and quality management systems
    • Strong documentation and organizational skills
    • Basic math and analytical skills
    • Ability to work 2nd shift and rotating/night shifts if required
