Responsibilities: • Draw up legal documents for attorney review • Advise attorneys with cost and time-effective recommendations to accomplish the client’s goals • Complete legal research to obtain documentation regarding medical records, health insurance, social security, and medical providers • Aid attorneys with all aspects of case management, including billing, docketing deadlines, and providing reminders as requested • Review legal documents to ensure adherence to all legal requirements • Assisting clients with their needs • Ability to communicate with medical providers and insurance companies • Take directions well and retain information easily • Being able to execute their own work Qualifications: • Self-starter with the ability to effectively manage multiple matters at once • Computer proficient - specifically with case management software, word processing, and spreadsheet presentation • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but a 2-year degree and Paralegal certification are acceptable - High school diploma is required • Legal research and legal document drafting experience is critical • Possesses exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral • Fluency in Mandarin/Cantonese will be assessed during the selection process • Competency and experience working on personal injury cases • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Excellent computer skills (MS Office) • Detail-oriented • Ability to handle multiple pre-litigation cases with supervision Compensation: $44,000 yearly
