Bilingual Legal Assistant (Spanish-English) – Personal Injury

Martindale law Group is a personal injury law firm dedicated to advocating for individuals who have been injured due to the negligence of others. We pride ourselves on compassionate service, strong legal representation, and personalized attention for each client. We are currently seeking a bilingual Legal Assistant to join our team and support our attorneys and Spanish-speaking clients throughout the legal process.

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to attorneys and case managers handling personal injury cases
• Translate and interpret between English and Spanish for client meetings, phone calls, and written correspondence
• Client communication - including preparing correspondence to clients, scheduling and ensuring client and attorney are prepared for scheduled events.
• Draft notices and edit demand letters. Help with client communications, medical records summaries, and other legal documents
• Ensuring the file is complete and up to date - requesting records, preparing medical chronologies, communicating with clients about medical treatment and appointments
• Coordinating hearings, depositions, mediations, CMEs, with opposing counsel, client, and attorney
• E-filing pleadings, motions, notices, discovery.
• Prepare documents for filing and assist with court procedures when needed.
• Responsible for managing attorneys calendar's by scheduling all deadline, hearings, depositions, mediations, etc.
• Ensure all deadlines are tracked and met.

Qualifications :

• Fluent in both Spanish and English (spoken and written)
• Previous experience in a personal injury law firm strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
• Professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive client information with confidentiality
