Our busy law office is growing, and we need a legal case manager to work alongside attorneys and achieve clients’ goals. Our ideal candidate will have experience in case management as a paralegal or legal assistant and be skilled in drafting documents, managing case files, and conducting legal research. Responsibilities: • Perform legal research to obtain documentation regarding health insurance, medical records, social security, and medical providers • Coordinate between attorneys, staff, and outside vendors to manage the law firm’s case load, present case summaries/updates, and ensure that deadlines are met • Create legal documents for attorney review • Advise attorneys with cost and time-effective recommendations to accomplish the client’s goals • Communicate case status with clients and outside counsel as requested • Assisting clients with their needs • Ability to communicate with medical providers and insurance companies • Take directions well and retain information easily • Being able to execute their own work Qualifications: • Case management process experience is needed - preferably as a personal injury case manager, or related jobs such as legal secretary, paralegal, or legal assistant at a law firm, non-profit, or human services agency • Exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral are needed • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet presentation, and case management software • Ability to multitask and stay self-motivated • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but a 2-year degree and Paralegal certification are acceptable - High school diploma is required • Fluency in Mandarin/Cantonese will be assessed during the selection process • Competency and experience working on personal injury cases • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Excellent computer skills (MS Office) • Detail-oriented • Ability to handle multiple pre-litigation cases with supervision Compensation: $44,000 yearly
