    Job Summary

    Phoenician Pain Management is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside nurses and medical staff, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies, setting up machines and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous office experience. This role also includes Medical Assistant Float duties as needed across our East Valley and West Valley locations.     Responsibilities

    Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment

    Clean instruments and equipment after use

    Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs

    Assist nurses and doctors with basic medical care and procedures

    Track lab results, call in prescriptions, and handle basic medical office duties

    Patient Care Coordinator:

    Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.

    Serve as the primary point of contact for patients.

    Track cancellations and no-shows; conduct outreach and reminders.

    Communicate effectively with patients, providers and clinics

    Assist patients with completing forms.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    Previous experience as a Medical Assistant

    Bilingual (Spanish/English)

    Current BLS certification

    Willingness to travel between West Valley and East Valley locations

    Preferred:

    1–2 years of EHR experience

    1+ years of experience in pain management

    Knowledge of medical terminology

    Strong communication and organizational skills

    Ability to multitask and work independently

    Positive, team-oriented, and adaptable mindset

    Proficiency in medical software and documentation tools

    Excellent customer service skills

    Strong attention to detail
