Bilingual Night Area Supervisor

ServiceMaster Green is a values-driven, growing, locally owned ServiceMaster franchise, with 100s of employees offering commercial janitorial and carpet cleaning services throughout the Des Moines Metro area. We currently are accepting résumés for the full time position of Night Area Supervisor. Job responsibilities focus on all areas related to overseeing night operations for a given geographical area of our night janitorial accounts.

Requirements include:

Bilingual (English/Spanish), being able to speak, read, write both English and Spanish

Valid Iowa driver’s license with clean driving record

Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

May require heavy lifting

Physically fit enough to remain in almost constant movement for a 8 hour period

Solid knowledge of the Des Moines Metro area

Clean criminal background

Some Computer skills (esp. Outlook)

Experience in the janitorial industry is a plus

Job duties include managing night janitorial staff; creating and responding to e-mail messages in Outlook; visiting worksites throughout the Des Moines Metro area (using a company vehicle); learning and using ServiceMaster proprietary software for both internal and external communication; and resolving client requests/complaints related to night operations.

He/she must have strong organization, time management, communication and problem solving skills. He/she must be able to multitask with limited supervision and communicate effectively, professionally and accurately in both verbal and written form in both languages. Our business has experienced solid growth for several years, and we anticipate continued, long-term growth. The candidate must be willing to accept new opportunities, projects, and responsibilities to keep up with the company’s needs.
