Position Summary
We’re seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Operational Production Manager to lead production at our Monroe facility. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on manufacturing experience, and a sharp focus on data, quality, and continuous improvement.
Performance Objectives
Production Oversight: Lead and coordinate daily production activities for granite and cabinet countertop manufacturing to ensure quality, efficiency, and timely delivery.
Team Leadership: Build, supervise, and develop high-performing cross-functional teams. Provide coaching, set clear performance expectations, and lead with a people-first mindset.
Operational Strategy: Design and implement effective operational procedures focused on continuous improvement, lean manufacturing principles, and process optimization.
Data & Reporting: Utilize production and operational software to generate performance reports, conduct data analysis, track KPIs, and drive informed decision-making.
Technology & Systems:Utilize ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and various reporting tools to track workflow, productivity, and financial performance.
Budget & Cost Control: Manage budgets, forecast resource needs, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or delivery.
Supply Chain Management: Ensure timely procurement and efficient inventory management. Maintain supplier relationships and anticipate material needs.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and other industry regulations.
Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between departments (Cabinet, Cultured Marble, Sales, Order entry, Installation, HR) to align operational efforts with company-wide goals.
Culture & Engagement: Promote a culture of innovation, integrity, safety, and inclusivity. Launch initiatives that support employee engagement and recognition.
Education and Experience
1-2 years of CNC Operator experience in the stone industry OR strong desire to learn.
CNC Set-up, programming, operation, and maintenance.
Experience with other automated stone fabrication machinery/saws.
Knowledge of AutoCAD.
Physical Requirements/Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 5 years in a senior operations or production management role within manufacturing, preferably in the stone, cabinetry, or construction materials industry.
Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills; must be proficient in Excel, ERP systems, and data reporting tools.
Bilingual: Fluency in both English and Spanish is required to effectively lead a diverse team and ensure clear communication across departments.
Leadership & Development: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and grow team members; experience with performance evaluation systems and succession planning.
Strategic Thinking: Excellent planning, budgeting, and project management skills with a focus on operational excellence.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; capable of making data-driven decisions in fast-paced environments.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
The employee may occasionally be exposed to airborne particles and moderate to high noise levels while in the shop. Safety equipment is provided for employees working in these areas. The employee will also be standing for long periods and must be able to handle hot and cold temperature changes.
Occasionally need to lift or move objects over 70+ pounds. Must be able to properly bend, reach, and lift without reasonable accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in countertop fabrication, kitchen and bath remodeling, or similar industries.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental compliance standards.
