As a Personal Injury Bilingual Legal Assistant-Case Manager, you'll be at the heart of our mission, ensuring that injured individuals receive the best legal representation possible. You'll manage personal injury cases, maintain accurate records, and serve as the primary point of contact for clients. Your role is vital in guiding them seamlessly through the legal process, allowing them to focus on recovery. We are looking for a candidate with strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a genuine passion for helping others. Prior experience as a legal assistant is required, as well as experience in case management. Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a must. Responsibilities: • Spanish-Language Intake: Serve as the primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking prospective clients. This includes fielding inbound lead calls, conducting intake interviews in Spanish to gather key facts, assessing case qualification, and guiding eligible clients through the sign-up process in their preferred language. For leads that do not meet our case criteria, you will communicate the rejection professionally and respectfully in Spanish. • Client Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking clients, provide updates on case status, answer inquiries, and offer compassionate support throughout the legal process. • Case Management : Gather necessary information for new cases, communicate with clients regularly, and maintain up-to-date records in the Filevine and Lead Docket. • Medical Records and Billing Management : Request and organize medical records, bills, and other documentation related to personal injury cases, ensuring accuracy for settlement negotiations or trials. • Lost Wage and PIP/Med Pay Claims: You will be responsible for opening and managing first-party claims on behalf of clients, including PIP, MedPay, and lost wage claims. This includes gathering required documentation, contacting insurance carriers, submitting claim paperwork, tracking claim numbers and adjuster assignments, and following up to ensure timely processing. • Client File Organization : Maintain comprehensive and organized physical and electronic client files, ensuring confidentiality and easy accessibility for all case-related documents. • Document Preparation and Filing : Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents such as settlement demands in a timely and accurate manner. Qualifications: • 2 years of experience in personal injury case management, preferably in auto-accident and premises liability cases.Prior experience as a legal assistant is a must.Bilingual (English and Spanish) is required. • Proficiency in legal software applications. • Strong Microsoft Office skills. • Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable communicating directly with insurance companies. • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. • Willingness to learn and take direction. • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks. • Independent problem solver. • Workers' Compensation experience is a plus.
