Spanish/English | Part-Time Position with Possible Full-Time Opportunity
Tomorrow’s Promise Montessori Schools | Huntsville, Texas
This is not a “just get through the day” teaching job.
This position is for someone who believes early childhood matters, understands that children deserve consistency and care, and wants to be part of a school with high standards, strong expectations, and meaningful work.
Tomorrow’s Promise Montessori Schools is looking for a bilingual Spanish/English teacher who loves children, enjoys teaching, and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners. Our children are ages 3–6, and we are looking for someone who can help introduce and reinforce Spanish in a natural, joyful, and age-appropriate way.
This is currently a part-time position, but it may become full-time for the right person.
About Tomorrow’s Promise
Tomorrow’s Promise is a high-quality early childhood education program serving children in a structured, Christian, and nurturing environment. We believe children thrive when the adults around them are consistent, professional, warm, and intentional.
What makes our program different is that we are serious about quality. We care about relationships, classroom excellence, professionalism, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
We are not looking for warm bodies to fill a classroom. We are looking for people who want to be part of something meaningful.
What You’ll Do
As a bilingual teacher, you will help create a loving, structured, and engaging classroom environment where children feel safe, encouraged, and excited to learn. You may lead simple Spanish lessons, support classroom routines, help children during activities, and work alongside other teachers to guide children throughout the day.
We are looking for someone who can make learning Spanish fun through real-life conversation, music, movement, books, games, and hands-on learning.
As a teacher, you will be expected to:
Create a safe, caring, and engaging classroom environment
Supervise children closely and responsibly at all times
Support children’s learning, behavior, and development in a positive way
Introduce and reinforce Spanish through songs, stories, conversation, and age-appropriate activities
Follow classroom procedures, licensing standards, and program expectations
Communicate professionally with coworkers, leadership, children, and families
Come prepared, stay organized, and follow through on responsibilities
Accept coaching, feedback, and ongoing training with a positive attitude
Work as part of a team rather than in isolation
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is
Bilingual in Spanish and English
Loving, patient, and dependable
Comfortable working with children ages 3–6
Positive, professional, and willing to be part of a team
Able to communicate clearly with children, parents, and staff
Excited to help children build confidence and a love for learning
Willing to follow classroom routines, safety expectations, and school policies
Calm under pressure and able to use good judgment with children
Open to learning, growing, and improving
Our Non-Negotiables
These are not optional in our program:
Reliable attendance
Punctuality
Professional communication
Good judgment with children
Close and responsible supervision
Following directions and procedures
Teamwork
Respect for coworkers, families, children, and leadership
Willingness to learn and improve
The Type of Person Who Thrives Here
People who do well at Tomorrow’s Promise are:
Dependable and consistent
Warm, patient, and genuinely good with children
Responsible and able to follow through without constant reminders
Professional in how they speak, act, and solve problems
Open to coaching and interested in growing their skills
Team players who contribute instead of creating drama
Able to balance kindness with structure
Serious about children, safety, quality, and professionalism
The Type of Person Who Will Struggle Here
This role will likely not be a good fit for someone who:
Has trouble being on time or coming to work consistently
Needs constant supervision to complete basic responsibilities
Becomes defensive when given feedback
Brings gossip, negativity, or conflict into the workplace
Sees working with children as babysitting instead of professional teaching
Cuts corners, ignores procedures, or fails to follow through
Wants a job with low expectations and little accountability
This Is Not for You If…
You are looking for an easy job where attendance and follow-through do not matter
You do not like feedback, coaching, or being held to clear standards
You struggle with professionalism, teamwork, or reliability
You are not genuinely interested in helping children learn and grow
You tend to create drama instead of solving problems
This May Be for You If…
You want meaningful work that matters
You believe children deserve your best
You take pride in doing things the right way
You want to be part of a school that values quality and professionalism
You enjoy helping young children learn through songs, stories, movement, conversation, and hands-on activities
You are looking for a place where strong people can grow
Requirements
Must be bilingual in Spanish and English
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Must pass a background check
Experience working with children is preferred, but a loving attitude and willingness to learn are very important
