Position Summary
Snelling Staffing is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Recruiter to join our team. The Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, screening, and placing qualified candidates in temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire positions. This role requires exceptional communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for helping people find meaningful employment while supporting our clients' workforce needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit qualified candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, networking, community outreach, and other sourcing methods.
- Review resumes, conduct phone and in-person interviews, and assess candidates' qualifications, skills, and career goals.
- Match candidates with client job opportunities based on experience, skills, and company culture.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and client companies.
- Complete employment verifications, background checks, drug screenings, and reference checks as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Prepare candidates for interviews by providing detailed job information and coaching.
- Extend job offers and manage the onboarding process, including new hire paperwork and orientation.
- Build and maintain relationships with candidates throughout the employment lifecycle.
- Follow up with placed employees and clients to ensure successful assignments and high satisfaction.
- Meet recruiting, placement, and activity goals established by management.
- Attend networking events, job fairs, and community events to attract top talent.
- Collaborate with the sales and business development team to understand client hiring needs and staffing priorities.
- Occasionally inside sales for new business
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company employment policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous recruiting, staffing, human resources, customer service, or sales experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple openings and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience recruiting for manufacturing, warehouse, administrative, skilled trades, or professional positions.
- Knowledge of employment laws and hiring best practices.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
