    The law firm, Glass Law Group Inc., is hiring a Bilingual Scheduling Coordinator/Legal Clerk!

    Glass Law specializes in workers' compensation matters. This is a small boutique law firm that is very busy. Applicants interested in this position must be bilingual in Spanish and English and should be interested or have some experience working in a law firm. Individuals who have recently obtained their Paralegal Certificate or a Degree in Legal Studies are encouraged to apply. Training to learn skills as a Legal Assistant/Workers’ Compensation Paralegal will be offered to motivated individuals.     The position is full-time, in-person in Oxnard, CA.

    The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and scheduling our injured worker clients for medical treatment and PQME appointments. This includes reviewing MPN lists, sending letters and filing court paperwork.

    This position performs basic clerical and data entry support to the staff as well as filing and other administrative duties. Motivated applicants who show the aptitude and attention to detail needed to be successful in this law firm may be trained on E-Filing, preparing legal correspondence, scheduling hearings or other interesting tasks.

    Scheduling Coordinator/Legal Clerk responsibilities include the following:

    Bilingual in Spanish with the ability to fully converse in Spanish, take messages from Spanish-speaking clientele and assist with translating Spanish to English.

    Answering, screening, and processing paperwork for our clients to attend medical appointments

    Utilizing computer system to enter information and open new client files.

    Be proficient in following instructions as forms must be completed properly so that they can be sent to the Court.

    Be proficient in typing and spelling such that nothing that gets filed with the court is incorrect.

    Performing ad-hoc administrative duties.

    Filing paperwork, moving and sorting often large paper files.

    Office service duties.

    Scheduling Coordinator/Legal Clerk requirements:

    Bilingual in Spanish

    Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

    Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.

    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    High school diploma or GED.

    Prior law firm experience preferred.

    Prior workers’ compensation experience preferred.

    Computer proficiency including typing proficiency.

    Diligence and attention to detail.

    Excellent written and verbal communication.

    Physical requirements:

    Must be able to walk on uneven services.

    Must be capable of lifting up to 15lbs.

    Must be capable of occasionally using a step stool.

    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.

    Prolonged periods of telephone use and keyboarding.

    Prolonged periods of standing and filing.

    This job is in person in Oxnard, CA M-F 8am to 5pm.
