Service Technician

Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour (based on experience) Schedule: Full-Time Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

We are currently hiring a Service Technician for one of our valued clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, helping customers, and being part of a supportive team environment.

This position is temp-to-hire, with eligibility for permanent hire after successfully completing a 500-hour introductory period. Our client is looking for a dependable, motivated individual who is eager to learn, grow, and build a long-term career.

What You'll Do

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of pneumatic tools and equipment, including nailers, staplers, and air compressors. In addition to repair work, you may occasionally assist at the front counter, helping customers and providing excellent service when needed.

Key responsibilities include:

Diagnose, repair, and maintain pneumatic nailers, staplers, and air compressors

Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance and adjustments

Safely operate hand tools and equipment in a shop environment

Manage multiple repair orders and prioritize tasks effectively

Communicate repair findings, recommendations, and timelines clearly

Assist customers in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner

Provide front desk and sales counter support as needed

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Follow company safety policies and procedures

What We're Looking For

We are seeking someone with a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and a positive attitude. Previous repair or maintenance experience is preferred, but candidates with hands-on experience and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications include:

Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in tools and equipment

Previous repair, maintenance, or mechanical experience preferred

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities

Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented

Ability to lift, stand, bend, and work in a physical environment
