About the Role:

ROP Consultants Of Florida PA is looking for a bilingual Medical Office Specialist to join our specialized pediatric ophthalmology team in Boca Raton, FL. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young patients and their families by delivering exceptional front-office support in a caring, fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

Greet and check in pediatric patients and their families in both English and Spanish

Schedule and confirm appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate referrals

Verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations, and process co-pays and billing

Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and patient files

Serve as a bilingual liaison between clinical staff and Spanish-speaking patients/families

Answer multi-line phone system, respond to inquiries, and relay messages to providers

Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies

Requirements:

Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) — required

Prior experience in a medical office, ophthalmology, or specialty clinic setting preferred

Familiarity with medical billing, insurance verification, and prior authorizations

Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and general office software

Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach

Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-volume pediatric specialty environment

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office certification a plus
