Position Overview
We are seeking a Billing & Administrative Assistant to support our Business Office with both billing and clerical functions. This role is essential in helping our operations run smoothly, ensuring billing accuracy, and providing professional administrative support to our staff, patients, and visitors. Key Responsibilities
Billing Support
Prepare, verify, and process claims for Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and other payors.
Reconcile billing data, notes, and supplies to ensure accuracy in claims.
Track payments and follow up on outstanding claims as directed.
Assist with billing reports and escalate discrepancies or denied claims for resolution.
Administrative Support
Answer phones, take accurate messages, and provide professional assistance to callers and visitors.
Receive, sort, and distribute mail and packages.
Assist with scheduling meetings, interviews, and office activities.
Maintain organized records, prepare reports, and support HR with onboarding and employee files.
Provide clerical and travel coordination support as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in the medical field.
Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and billing software.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
Preferred:
1+ year experience in a medical office setting.
