This position requires prior experience in health insurance billing, including claim submission, verification, and follow-up on reimbursements.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Process and track documentation for personal-injury and workers’-compensation cases (LOPs, claim numbers, adjuster details).

    • Review and follow up on outstanding records or billing requests from attorneys, insurers, and medical facilities.

    • Reconcile payments, denials, and discrepancies; escalate unresolved issues to management.

    • Handle medical records requests in compliance with HIPAA and NexGen policies.

    • Maintain accurate logs, spreadsheets, and digital records for audit readiness.

    • Communicate professionally with internal staff, providers, attorneys, and insurance partners.

    • Support periodic audits, compliance checks, and reports as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • 1–2+ years of experience in medical billing, health-insurance billing, or records management (pain management, orthopedic, or PI experience preferred).

    • Familiar with EOBs, claims processing, attorney LOPs, and workers ' compensation billing.

    • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical records handling.

    • Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).

    • Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

    • Strong written and verbal communication; able to manage confidential information.

    • Dependable, punctual, and organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

    • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Competitive compensation (commensurate with experience)

    • Paid time off and holidays

    • Healthcare reimbursement stipend

    • Growth and advancement opportunities within a fast-growing medical network
