The Billing Specialist is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting accurate invoices for all electrical construction projects. This role works closely with project managers, estimators, field personnel, and the office team to ensure timely billing, proper documentation, and efficient accounts receivable processes. Responsibilities: • Prepare and issue invoices for Time & Material, Contract, and Service Work orders. • Review job cost reports, labor hours, purchase orders, materials, and subcontractor invoices for accuracy. • Track project progress, billing, retainage, and change orders. • Submit billing through customer portals (e.g., GC portals, vendor payment sites). • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding payments. • Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve issues with customers or internal teams. • Maintain accurate job files, billing logs, and support documentation. • Assist with lien waivers, certificates of insurance, and required project paperwork. • Coordinate with project managers for updated billing schedules and project milestones. • Support general office and accounting tasks as needed. Qualifications: • Experience in the electrical or general contracting industries. • Knowledge of AIA forms (G702/G703). • Familiarity with Procore, Job Power, or similar software. Compensation: $20 - $26 per hour
