Arthritis and Allergy Associates LLC in Dover, NJ is looking for a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our dedicated healthcare team. Responsibilities:

Process and submit medical claims to insurance carriers accurately and in a timely manner

Review and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments through appeals and follow-up

Post payments, adjustments, and patient balances to accounts

Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments

Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries, statements, and payment plans

Ensure compliance with coding standards including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS

Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve documentation and coding discrepancies

Requirements:

1-3 years of experience in medical billing or a related healthcare administrative role

Proficiency with medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems

Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding

Experience with insurance claim submission, denial management, and AR follow-up

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance representatives

Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
