As we continue to expand nationally, we are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven Billing and Collection Assistant to join our team and support key billing and collections processes.

Responsibilities:

Review patient face sheets, verify insurance details, and ensure accurate completion of test requisitions and ICD codes

Verify insurance coverage for both in-network and out-of-network providers

Assist clients in obtaining prior authorizations as needed

Support billing agents with aging claims, exceptions, appeals, and timely resubmissions

Coordinate with the accounting team to invoice clients and patients for unpaid co-pays and deductibles

Respond to billing inquiries from patients, clinic staff, and insurance representatives

Process electronic payments, including credit card transactions, and accurately post payments

Maintain organized, up-to-date billing files and records

Perform occasional front desk support, including answering phone calls and assisting with general office duties

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education is a plus

Excellent communication and phone skills

Preferred experience working in a healthcare or medical office environment

Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred

Strong attention to detail, with solid organizational and problem-solving abilities
