- Support the Company's mission, vision and values in performance of daily activities
- Specify and follow-up on new machinery coming into the plant
- Automate new and takeover jobs for all automated lines
- Support process improvement initiatives and activities throughout the plan with a focus on the steel tube mill department
- Stabilize the process by determining root cause of process issues and implementing corrective actions as needed
- Generate process improvements to increase efficiency
- Continuously research new technology and see where it can be applied at AUTOKINITON
- Write and debug programs for small equipment
- Engineer/design small equipment such as poke-yokes
- Improve ergonomics at manufacturing work centers
This full-time, salary role is a part of our Engineering team and reports to the Engineering Manager.
Required experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, or five years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Steel Tube-Mill Experience preferred
- Proficient in troubleshooting and correcting workflow problems
- Knowledge of standard quality practices
- Ability to visualize and comprehend all aspects of a manufacturing equipment and tooling, understand the relationships of factors affecting a given situation, be attentive to detail, and continually seek to improve work processes
