Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Bindery Assistant to support production in a fast-paced printing and manufacturing environment. This role involves operating bindery equipment, maintaining workflow, and ensuring quality standards are met across production and fulfillment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret work orders/job tickets for setup and production instructions
- Operate and maintain bindery equipment, including:
- Cutter machines (Polar, Seybold)
- MBO Folder machines
- Shrink-wrap equipment
- Inserter machines
- Perform machine setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting
- Follow startup, cleaning, and shutdown procedures
- Maintain workflow to meet production deadlines
- Track and report daily production and material usage
- Communicate equipment or order issues to leadership
- Support related departments including personalization, fulfillment, and shipping
- Follow all quality control (QC) and safety procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3–5 years of bindery or print production experience required
- Strong mechanical aptitude (testing may be required)
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Intermediate math skills
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time management
- Ability to pass a color vision test
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
