    PIH Health is a nonprofit, regional healthcare network that serves approximately 3 million residents in the Los Angeles County, Orange County and San Gabriel Valley region. The fully integrated network is comprised of PIH Health Hospital - Whittier, PIH Health Hospital - Downey and PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital, 27 outpatient medical locations, a multispecialty medical (physician) group, home healthcare services and hospice care, as well as heart, cancer, women’s health, urgent care and emergency services.

    Cleans and sanitizes all dishware, lids, flatware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc. in a safe, timely and sanitary manner. Loads/unloads dish machine and ensures its proper temperatures and maintenance. Provides overall cleaning maintenance for the kitchen. Performs deep cleaning according to Master Cleaning Schedule, in addition to assessed needs. Safely utilizes chemicals and is knowledgeable about them via MSDS. Complies with departmental safety/sanitation/infection control guidelines. Completes assigned duties and assists other staff, as needed. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

     

     

     

    Required Skills

    • Ability to break down & re-assemble equipment for cleaning
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, climb ladders & work on knees
    • Ability to work independently

     

    Required Experience

     

    Required:

    • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
    • Must be able to work independently and take direction from supervisors/managers

     

    Preferred:

    • High School diploma preferred, but not required
    • Previous cleaning experience with industrial kitchen cleaning desired, but not required
