Job Description

We are seeking a top performer to join the Digital Biology Group at Bio-Rad Laboratories.  In this exciting, fast-paced and rapidly growing business, we have an opportunity for someone to help manage and grow our assay portfolio for our flagship Droplet Digital PCR product line. As an assay product manager you will play a key role in managing the growing ddPCR assay product lines, both on market as well as new product development.  Working in close collaboration with R&D, global commercial and supply chain teams, you will help to ensure products are searchable, orderable and delivered to our customers on time. You will also have the opportunity to engage with customers and commercial partners in order to understand and evaluate new product needs and help to translate those needs into requirements for new products and product line extensions for this exciting technology. This person will report into Product Marketing within the Digital Biology Group.

Responsibilities

• Represent marketing in project meetings and new product projects.
• Assist in the creation of key marketing messages and documents.
• Track KPIs for the product line and make recommendations to the business.
• Facilitate complex and nuanced discussions of hot topic issues with partners to map path forward when necessary.
• Participate in relevant meetings with partners and internal functional teams to ensure progress and alignment and to “connect the dots” across efforts.
• Help to manage and grow our reputation with customers through delivery of high-quality assays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Master’s degree, PhD and/or MBA or equivalent degree preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience of relevant product management or customer-facing role in the life sciences or related industry.
• Strong communication skills with high emotional intelligence / empathy, including ability to influence colleagues, resolve conflicts, and drive consensus among stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and disciplines.
• Data-driven decision maker who can identify, prioritize, and resolve key issues and risks.
• Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment with competing deadlines and changing priorities.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time as global conditions permit.
