    THE POSITION:

We are seeking a technically savvy and highly motivated research scientist with excellent attention to detail to expand the antibody discovery capabilities at BioMap using a variety of antibody generation platforms, such as single B-cell sorting, hybridomas, phage display, etc. This position is a unique and impactful opportunity to contribute towards expanding the antibody discovery capabilities for AI-driven drug discovery at BioMap. Specifically, the candidate will become proficient in antibody-based assay development for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting diverse categories of functional and biochemical assays, such as binding/blocking, cytokine secretion, cell proliferation or reporter assays, etc. The successful candidate must possess strong hands-on technical skills and outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to work effectively and collaboratively with geographically diverse teams.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop a range of antibody-based, target-specific functional assays such as FACS binding/blocking assays, ELISA, cytokine release, signaling, cell proliferation, cytotoxicity, reporter assays, etc.
    • Organize, manage, and execute complex antibody projects for pipeline development.
    • Analyze, interpret, and communicate scientific data to support AI-powered antibody discovery.
    • Meet regularly with project teams to discuss progress and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure the project tracks with timelines.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplined scientists in different departments for lead and target validation

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ph.D. with 2+ years relevant experience or MS with 7+ years of experience in antibody drug discovery with expertise in immunology or related field. An industrial experience is highly preferred.
    • Familiar with the entire workflow of therapeutic antibody discovery from immunization, hit screening, single B cell sequencing, and functional validation of antibody leads.
    • Experience in developing, optimizing, and executing a diverse range of cells and biochemical-based functional assays to characterize and validate drug candidates
    • Experience in culturing primary immune cells and tumor cell lines is essential; ability to perform immune cell isolations, immune cell phenotyping, and cell differentiation techniques.
    • Working knowledge of FACS analyzer, cell sorter, and plate-based readers, with data analysis using FlowJo, SoftMax Pro, and GraphPad Prism.
    • Experience with antibody/protein engineering and technical proficiency in molecular biology is a plus.
    • Ability to multi-task, organize, and execute diverse activities in a changing environment, often under time pressure.
