    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    • Responsible for supporting the Sales Department through completion of administrative duties and clerical tasks for efficient operations, as well as serving as the liaison between sales and marketing.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    SALES

    • Notify physicians of patient benefits.
    • Prepare an Explanation of Benefits letter and fax to office
    • Triage prescriptions to in-network pharmacy if we cannot fill
    •  Notify patients of triage and provide with phone number for follow up
    •  Assist offices with obtaining the proper PA form to submit.
    • Follow up with plans to obtain prior authorization status as necessary.
    • Responsible for answering all Sales Support email
    • Assist Patient Care Coordinators and/or Verifiers in retrieving any and all necessary Information to  complete prescription requests.
    • Support all Specialty Pharmacy activity in the delivery of medications, i.e. assisting center in procuring missing documentation, and communicating information to M.D. offices, etc.
    • Maintain up-to-date CRM and EMR records, as well as any other requested records, in accordance with company instructions.
    • Follow all Brand Drug specific program steps and document as required. · Comply with all company policies and procedures.
    • Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs and in-services as requested by Director of Inside Sales.
    • Mail and/or fax out marketing materials as instructed by Director of Inside Sales.
    • Answer incoming phone calls for sales staff with courtesy and efficiency by taking accurate messages and/or routing calls properly.
    • Fill in for sales staff when they are out of the office, by handling phone calls and tracking their referrals.

    OTHER DUTIES:

    • Participate and perform other duties as assigned my leadership

    COMPETENCY:

    • Knowledge of standard medical terminology
    • Ability to handle challenging patients/vendors in a professional manner
    •  Ability to learn quickly, solve problems, and make decisions to assist our patients
    •  Demonstrate excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills
    • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of MS Office software; which includes Excel, Word and Outlook

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • High School diploma or equivalency diploma, from a Department of Education accredited school
    •  2 years of specialty pharmacy experience preferred
