Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide general office support to the Quality and R&D department, including but not limited to shipping and receiving samples, processing received samples, Retain Room (sample room) management, physical and electronic document management, and document creation. This position will also be cross trained on other specific QC procedures to support the team as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Sample Processing:

• Receive AQL sample shipments, organize samples, send sample receiving report to Quality Team.
• Log AQL samples in appropriate documentation.
• With direction, ship samples to 3rd party laboratories for testing.
• Organize, File and Store Retain Samples.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of retain room. This includes the following duties:

• Cleaning floors and surfaces.
• Packing and lifting retain sample containers.
• Destroying and discarding product samples when required and logging.

With direction, provide document management support to the Quality and R&D Team:

• Print and file hard copies for Quality Documentation purposes.
• Rename and file digital copies according to internal documentation protocols for Quality and R&D Documentation purposes.

When requested, perform the following duties to support the Quality and R&D Team:

• AQL Inspections on finished product
• Fill in finished product COAs
• Create raw material specifications based on approved materials
• Order and/or ship lab supplies, competitive products, BioTrust products, or R&D samples to remote employees for evaluation
• Pull and organize data from sample testing logs
• Collect and organize feedback from internal employees on competitive and R&D samples
• Organize documentation and pricing for potential new raw materials

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Proficient in math with an understanding and appreciation for science
• Demonstrated track record of building strong relationships, showing flexibility, utilizing strong communication skills and takes direction well.
• Excellent attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent data entry skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Xcel, Word, and Adobe.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize duties and strategy based on defined department goals and initiatives
