    As a part of Commercial Operations team, you will be responsible for business intelligence efforts in supporting strategic and tactical decision making with insightful analysis to maximize the potential of Biological Dynamics’ pipeline and commercial product opportunities. This person will work cross-functionally to advise, consult, ensure quality analysis and insights are communicated throughout the organization. To accomplish this, they will be responsible for determining the proper methodology and appropriate tools/techniques needed to answer the key business questions. This role will be instrumental in helping the organization to establish realistic product performance expectations and goals, using their accurate forecasting capabilities.  This role will provide regular performance insights/updates on how the organization is tracking toward achieving defined goals.  The position assumes a high level of competences and expertise in Oncology, Neuroscience and Infectious Disease market research, forecasting and analysis to develop insights to further shape the Company’s commercial strategy.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

    • Responsible for the primary and secondary market research for internal pipeline of products in Oncology, Neuroscience and Infectious Disease.
    • Lead forecasting by developing multi-year monthly patient, unit, and revenue forecasts of commercial and launch products by leveraging historical product performance trends, the latest primary/secondary market research insights, and soliciting team inputs to design and build accurate, actionable, and evidenced based forecasting models. 
    • Act as a key forecasting contributor in the Corporate Long-Range-Planning (LRP) process for pipeline and development products. 
    • In collaboration with department leaders, build accurate revenue and expense models to be used in forecasting financial models
    • FOR EXISTING PROGRAMS:
      • Develop strong understanding of key drivers across all key programs in Oncology, Neuroscience and Infectious Disease
      • In collaboration with department leads, develop, document and maintain forward-looking financial business model.
      • Work with department leads, including Finance, Product Development, R&D
    • FOR NEW PROGRAMS:
      • Prepare business cases, including new opportunity assessment
      • Develop and implement business data strategy

     

    Education/Experience/Skills

    • Degree in life sciences or related field, MBA preferred and a minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
    • Experience in modeling commercial and/or development projects in regulated markets, ideally in diagnostic or medical device field (IVD, CE, LDT, RUO).  
    • Experience with supporting NGS and/or point-of-care business is a plus.
    • Outstanding communication skills, grace under pressure, comfort with working with complex technologies at rapid pace
    • Advanced knowledge of Excel, proficiency with other MS Office applications, Google Docs; knowledge of power BI a plus.
    • Proven ability to manage market research function with extensive knowledge and expertise in the latest global market research methodologies and techniques for HCPs, Patients/Caregivers and Payers including Market Landscape Assessments, Patient Journeys  Lifecycle Management, Disease Awareness, Brand Tracking (ATU), Segmentation, Positioning, Messaging Evaluation, Concept Testing, Pricing/Reimbursement and Forecasting. 
    • Proven experience in various forecasting methodologies that leverages historical product demand, primary and secondary research insights along with team inputs to design and build accurate forecasting models using MS Excel and/or other forecasting applications.
    • Excellent analytical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities with demonstrated abilities to think creatively and strategically to solve and answer key business questions/problems.
    • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, with a professional demeanor, with the ability to interact with all levels of management and colleagues within other departments.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to present market research findings and forecasts summaries at the executive level with the capability to dive into details.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
