We are seeking an experienced and passionate Biology Competition Instructor to prepare students for high-level academic competitions such as USABO, Science Olympiad, and other biology contests.

The ideal candidate will be able to teach advanced biology concepts clearly, guide problem-solving strategies, and help students develop competitive exam skills.

Responsibilities

Teach biology competition classes (group or 1-on-1)

Cover topics including:

Cell biology

Genetics

Evolution

Physiology

Ecology

Develop lesson plans and practice materials

Train students in problem-solving and exam strategies

Assign and review homework / practice tests

Track student progress and provide feedback

Qualifications

Strong background in Biology or related field

Experience with USABO / Biology Olympiad / Science competitions

Ability to explain complex concepts clearly

Strong communication and teaching skills

Prior teaching or tutoring experience preferred

Preferred

USABO semifinalist/finalist or similar competition experience

Biology major / pre-med / graduate-level background

Experience teaching middle school / high school students

Bilingual (English/Chinese) is a plus
