Bioreactor Process Development Scientist
Job Description
The Bioreactor Process Development Scientist will support upstream Drug Substance Process Development (DS PD) activities with a strong focus on mammalian cell culture, bioreactor operations, and preparation of critical upstream materials. This role is highly hands‑on, working within tissue culture suites and bioreactor bays to ensure smooth execution of experimental and operational workflows. The scientist will contribute to media preparation, consumables readiness, experimental sampling, and bioreactor manipulations that enable successful process development studies.
Key responsibilities include preparing custom tubing assemblies, supporting cell culture media manufacturing, executing routine bioreactor sampling and analytics, and documenting experimental observations in real time. This role requires strong aseptic technique, operational precision, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast‑paced development environment. Due to the nature of cell culture work, participation in a rotating weekend coverage schedule is expected.
