Servers sell and serve food and drinks in a professional manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Serve three to four tables as determined by management
Maintain complete knowledge of restaurant’s food and beverage preparation
Sell alcohol and food items
Enter and complete customers’ orders on computer system; accept different types of payment and make change
Interact with guests in a friendly and efficient manner; ensure guests’ complete satisfaction by exceeding their expectations
Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant
Clear and reset tables
Check identification of guests to consuming alcoholic beverages; refuse to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age
Observe the behavior of guests who have consumed alcoholic beverages, count the number of drinks served, and offer a taxi for those who should not drive, and ask for manager assistance with disorderly customers as needed
Report to work in a neat and clean uniform; maintain well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policy
Perform other duties as directed
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Ability to pass Responsible Service of Alcohol Test with a score of 90% or better
State alcohol server license and food handler’s card required
Basic mathematical skills; ability to make change
Basic reading and writing skills
Basic computer skills
Excellent communication skills
Previous training experienced preferred
Multi-task oriented
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
Must be able to suggestively sell food and beverage items
