PURPOSE:
The main purpose of this job is to build customer relationships that result in sales opportunities. This person is responsible for meeting our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets through direct customer selling by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects & recommending solutions. This person will be responsible for identifying business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry, researching and analyzing sales options.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the entire sales cycle
Assist in finding prospects and leads
Identify new sales opportunities
Build strong client relationships
Identify opportunities to up-see and cross-sell
Provide customer support when needed
Learn new product and services features and benefits
Provide professional after-sales support
Respond to complaints and resolve issues to ensure customer success and satisfaction
Conduct market research and identify new opportunities
Answer customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Confer with department heads or staff to discuss topics such as contracts, selection of advertising media, or product to be advertised
Collaborate with the sales manager and executive team to develop content for print media, social media, web media, and other forms of media.
Contribute to collaborative efforts and organize promotional events
Assist directly with the shipping department by packaging and sending shipments (as needed/requested).
Assist sales manager and executive team with content development for print media, social media, web media, and other forms of media.
Collaborates effectively with others for the success of the department; promotes a free flow of information & ideas across departments
Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates
Confer with organizational members to accomplish work activities
Coordinate and/or manage sales activities
Demonstrate a high degree of business acumen
Ensures all customers, internal and external, are kept informed of issues.
Exhibits a positive attitude. Promotes superior customer service.
Follows all proper communication channels with the invoice process, with thorough communication and positive internal and external customer relations
Monitor customer preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts
Plan and prepare advertising and promotional material to increase sales of products or services, working with customers, company officials, sales departments, and advertising agencies
Plan, present, and/or facilitate sales presentations and meetings
Provide presentation and product demonstration support during the introduction of new products and services to customers
Provide up-to-date and accurate information on sales numbers (Current, Goal, Trend, etc.)
Read trade journals and professional literature to stay informed on trends, innovations, and changes that affect media planning
Reports to Sales Manager and/or Customer when additional items are required, preventing possible customer dissatisfaction.
Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products (as needed)
Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service
Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability
Regularly attending sales meetings and training sessions
