    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY:  Reporting to the President and the Director of Admissions, the Admissions Associate is an integral part of the high school admissions and recruitment team, responsible for the recruitment and evaluation of freshmen and transfer students to Bishop Loughlin.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • ·         Assume responsibility for the recruitment of qualified students.
    • ·         Establish contacts and maintain relationships with key personnel at feeder schools and make regular visits to their institutions.
    • ·         Conduct in-person interview with potential students and their parents.
    • ·         Distribute pertinent materials to all newly registered students.
    • ·         Secure, develop, manipulate and maintain information through use of the school’s student information system (Admission Pro), on the prospective students and applicant pools.
    • ·         Evaluate applications and transcripts submitted by prospective students for Admissions, both freshmen and transfers.
    • ·         Collects the necessary data on each applicant in order to build a student file utilizing Admissions Pro.
    • ·         Assist in planning and implementing all on-campus recruitment events. i.e. open houses, concert spectacular, incoming parent nights, shadow days, school tours, etc.
    • ·         Manage students through the admission process which include: entering and updating student information, processing all application materials including transcripts, report cards, immunization records, birth certificate, social security card.
    • ·         Maintain student records, complete credit evaluations, send information packets, create weekly tracking reports, schedule appointments and answer incoming phone call.
    • ·         Processes TACHS exam results and prepares and sends out acceptance letters.
    • ·         Works in coordination with the Director of Admissions and the Administration to generate a list of scholarship offers based on TACH exam results.
    • ·         Generates a list of registered students which includes scholarship status.
    • ·         Perform all other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • ·         Bachelor’s degree
    • ·         Evidence of admissions relevant work experience is required.  Admissions experience in education a plus.
    • ·         Willing to work select nights and weekends
    • ·         Must have a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel locally for school visits
    • ·         Experience in creating documents, spreadsheets and using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. 
    • ·         Creative and energetic with a commitment to work individually or in a team environment.
    • ·         Excellent time management skills, ability to manage several projects simultaneously while meeting aggressive deadlines.
    • ·         Proficiency in English. Spanish speaking a plus.
    • ·         Communication skills and cross-culture abilities to maximize effectiveness with diverse groups of students, colleagues and community members.
    • ·         Ability to interact collaboratively and professionally with diverse groups and constituencies throughout Bishop Loughlin.
    • ·         Culturally sensitive with an understanding and appreciation of a mult-cultural community and the Lasallian mission of Bishop Loughlin.
    • ·         Strong commitment to the mission of Bishop Loughlin and to its students, faculty and staff.
