Location The Eden Resort & Suites is an independently owned and operated hotel with 300 guest rooms and multiple food and beverage outlets. Within the resort, we have Bistro 2two2, which is our full-service restaurant for lunch and dinner daily, Arthur's Terrace, which is our full-service breakfast restaurant, Encore Lounge open on weekends, in-room dining, and Splasher's seasonal pool bar and food truck. Description As a host at the Eden Resort & Suites, you will be the first point of contact for our dining guests, welcoming them with a warm and friendly demeanor. This is a great opportunity to start a career in hospitality or supplement your income. Must be at least 16 years of age. May be expected to work weekends or holidays. Compensation- $12 hourly to start, plus some tips from takeout orders Responsibilities: • Greet incoming and departing guests warmly, escort them to assigned dining areas, present menus, and announce the server’s name. • Use visual cues to seat guests in either the bar or dining area, depending on their preference. • Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service. • Tend to special guests' needs and requests. • Manage the seating chart. • Put guests on waitlists and manage the list. • Receive takeout orders and use the POS. • Assist dining room staff by setting and clearing tables, replenishing water, and serving beverages. • Various side work. • Issue dining charges, verify orders, calculate taxes, and total bills for to-go orders. • Receive payments by validating credit charges, approving checks, and accepting currency. • Reconcile cash drawer, prove cash transactions, list checks, and credit card charges for to-go orders. • Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: Essential Skills: • Upbeat and outgoing individual. • Able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills. • Able to work positively in a fast-paced environment. • Strong teamwork skills. • Customer service-oriented ensures each guest has an excellent experience. Education And Experience Required: • At least one (1) year of restaurant experience is preferred. Compensation: $12 hourly to start plus tips
