Description As a Bistro Host at Eden Resort & Suites, you will serve as the first point of contact for our dining guests, greeting them with a warm and welcoming attitude. This role is an excellent opportunity to begin a career in hospitality or to earn extra income. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and may be required to work weekends or holidays. Compensation- $12 hourly to start, plus some tips from takeout orders Responsibilities: • Greet incoming and departing guests warmly, escort them to assigned dining areas, present menus, and announce the server’s name. • Use visual cues to seat guests in either the bar or dining area, depending on their preference. • Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service. • Tend to special guests' needs and requests. • Oversee and manage the seating chart. • Add guests to waitlists and maintain the list efficiently. • Take and process takeout orders using the POS system. • Support dining room staff by setting and clearing tables, refilling water, and serving beverages. • Complete various side work as needed. • Process dining charges, verify orders, calculate taxes, and total bills for takeout orders. • Accept and validate payments, including credit cards, checks, and cash. • Reconcile the cash drawer, account for cash transactions, and track checks and credit card payments for takeout orders. • Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: Essential Skills: • Upbeat and outgoing individual. • Able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills. • Able to work positively in a fast-paced environment. • Strong teamwork skills. • Customer service-oriented ensures each guest has an excellent experience.
