    Black Creek Integrated Systems Corp. is a global security systems provider located in Irondale, Alabama. Our Criminal Justice Applications Group (CJAG) is responsible for the design and development of software applications for Records Management Systems and Jail Management Systems.

    We are seeking a qualified DevOps Engineer to join the CJAG team. The successful candidate will demonstrate general development and IT Operational skills with some professional experience. In addition, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and technical leadership abilities, as well as demonstrated success working within the traditional Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This position will report directly to the Department Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    • Deploy containerized web applications to customer production environments
    • Develop and maintain automation solutions for deployment including services, scripts, and cloud tools
    • Provide level II support for production systems including system optimization
    • Be a champion for best practices as relates to DevOps, security, and configuration management
    • Maintain technical documentation related to services, automation, tools, and deployment procedures
    • Collaborate with development team for development workflow optimization
    • Work location is on-site at company headquarters
    • Other duties as required by Management

    Qualifications:

    • Strong working knowledge of code repository systems based on GIT
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL including configuration and maintenance
    • Strong working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Experience with tools and technologies such as Docker, Redis, Blazor, and Azure
    • Experience with Jira and Confluence
    • Ability to act autonomously
    • Ability to work with members of a team
    • Strong communication skills with ability to understand and articulate ideas verbally and in writing
