Black Gallina Consulting is looking for a Bookkeeper Staff Accountant to join our team! We are a small consulting firm specializing in financial, operations, and management consulting across many industries. Our focus is on providing Fortune 500 expertise to the small businesses that make up our neighborhoods.

You will be responsible for working with our clients in various industries such as food and drink, import/export, health and fitness, and retail. This position will primarily include responsibilities GL accounting, management, and advising. We are looking for a hard working, quick learning, passionate individual to assist and advise clients with tasks such as:

• Bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations
• Monthly P&L's
• Payroll tax filings, and payroll administration for a limited number of clients
• Periodic DOR/FileLocal filings
• Secretary of State renewals and compliance (primarily WA)
• A/R and A/P for a limited number of clients

This position will work in conjunction with other senior staff. Projects can include one-time complex modeling to recurring bookkeeping tasks for clients. At our firm, we encourage staff to interact with clients frequently and take on projects outside their wheelhouse with support. It is critical that applicants are passionate about small businesses in their community.

We primarily use Quickbooks Online as our accounting system. Gusto is also used for payroll service. Other tools are used as needed to help streamline our workflows.

​QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in accounting or other related fields (ideally 1+ years)
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

IN-PERSON VS. REMOTE WORK

Our firm is currently entirely remote with no plans to be in-person. There may be times that staff will be encouraged to meet in-person with clients.
