    ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY

    Black & McDonald's Kansas City team is growing! If you are an independent, enthusiastic, and driven professional searching for an opportunity to build a solid foundation for your career, this position is for you. The Project Administrator/Dispatcher is responsible for supporting the Streetlight and Traffic Signal maintenance department with workflow management and field contact.

    Reporting to the Streetlight & Traffic Signal Maintenance supervisor. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, a high degree of accuracy and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

    Main Duties

    • Work directly with the call centers, customers, and citizens for light out calls

    • Create, update, and close work orders in multiple systems

    • Communicate with field personnel regarding repairs

    • Ensure the dispatch performance criteria of the contracts are met

    • Assist in managing work order flow/scheduling for all maintenance contracts

    • High customer service level required

    • Preparation of certified payroll

    • Responsible for monthly contract invoicing & reporting

    • Handling all inventory transactions (posting to work orders, etc)

    • Responsbile for assisting warehouse with monthly inventory cycle counts

    • Assisting with entering all timesheets for the Maintenance Operations personnel into an Excel spreadsheet and uploading into JDE on a weekly basis

    • Fill in on occasion to cover vacations and holidays

    Employment Requirements

    • Hours for the shift are 8am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

    • Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with all levels in the organization and with outside clients.

    • Must be a self starter, able to work with others and to handle multiple tasks.

    • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.

    • Knowledge of certified payroll a plus but not required.

    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)
