Job Description

• 2+ years of UX Research-related experience, preferably working on B2B enterprise software applications
• Degree in a design related field (environmental and/or industrial UX research, human factors, psychology, human computer interaction, social science, interaction design, user experience design, user interface design, visual design) or related experience
• Hands-on experience with various exploratory research methodologies (remote and field research and discovery) including: A/B testing, qualitative/ethnography, quantitative, generative, evaluative, contextual/observational, heuristic evaluation, user interviews, surveys, and UI data-tracked collection and analysis
• Exposure to critical thinking in a Design Thinking process
• Owner of UX direct and shared activities and deliverables such as, but perhaps not limited to; sketches, brainstorming, mindstorming, problem definition, planning, scoping, study plans, moderator guides, note grids, affinity diagrams, mental models, whiteboarding, storyboards, paper prototyping, card sorting, concept testing, journey mapping, personas, roadmaps, etc
• Considerate of design and research for enterprise-level extensible/scalable software user interfaces
• Create and moderate clickable prototypes for user testing
• Lead and participate in usability testing with newly released MVP software products
• Strong information architecture advocate and creator; defining flows and artifacts that help others understand potential roadblocks early in a design
• Articulate communicator (verbal, written, visual), soft skills to collaborate with a variety of personalities
• Self-motivated, with an ability to learn quickly and independently, and work in a dynamic agile environment with cross functional and remote teams
• Creative, strategic, innovative, persuasive, curious personality with a drive to ask insightful questions; to understand user aspirations, frustrations and motivations with the ability to translate intangibles into better experiences for users
• Organized, detailed, analytical, thoughtful researcher and designer who is comfortable presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders and executives
• Gracious contributor and recipient of design critiques with other designers and stakeholders; collaborative and personable team player
• Experienced in using software such as Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma
• Professional working understanding of agile with scrum methodologies and how UX research and design representation fits within timelines and deadlines, managing projects in JIRA and Confluence
• Approximately 25% travel for onsite field research
