Logistics Coordinator

Our supply chain logistics team has a current opening for a conscientious and experienced Logistics Coordinator to work Monday-Friday from 8-5 and on-call one weekend per month.
Reporting to the Director of Logistics, Logistic Coordinators are essential members of our high-performance logistics team and earn a competitive salary, performance-based bonuses, PTO, 401k, and benefits. We seek a reliable, experienced, and self-motivated individual who can provide stellar customer service to our clients and dispatch and communicate with our drivers.
Our Logistics coordinators ensure equipment and driver availability, using them to the maximum efficiency by monitoring freight movement, communication with drivers, and all other aspects of dispatching.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Communicating with customers i.e., update and notify customers when orders about delivery times and drop off's
Arrange and coordinate and required transportation and dispatch company drivers
Work closely with vendors, customers, and fellow team members from every department of the company.
Scheduling of drivers
Building driver loads
Keep track of company trucks via an online tracking system to ensure delivery/loading schedule.
Process all orders into the database
Respond to and coordinate repairs for any truck breakdowns, including scheduling vehicles with mechanics for weekly service
Provide after-hours phone support for drivers
Other projects and tasks that the director may assign.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum of 1-year of dispatch experience or logistics coordination
Excellent computer skills, including MS Office applications
Proven ability to communicate effectively and positively by telephone and email with customers, vendors, and co-workers (team members)
Highly organized, able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to solve problems while remaining composed and patient dealing with stressful and challenging situations
