    We are a start-up backed by venture capital, focused on bridging the technology gap in healthcare. Our purpose-built ecosystem provides comprehensive cybersecurity managed services for life sciences and healthcare. We are building a customizable product that ensures health systems have access to a suite of security solutions, with built-in visualization and optimization, to ensure the safety of patient information.

    We are currently building our foundational leadership team and seeking an Engineering Leader to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for growing and scaling a development team in the US and off-shore, developing our product strategy, and contributing technically to our platform build. This is a unique opportunity to exercise your strategy and leadership skills while maintaining your technical expertise.

    Your background in working with event-driven and multi-tenant serverless architectures will be valued in this role, along with your knowledge of data pipelines and open telemetry.

    **What you will do in the Engineering Leader role:
    **

    • ****Lead and manage a team of engineers, including hiring, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
    • Develop and implement engineering strategies, policies, and procedures that support the company's goals and objectives.
    • Work closely with other department leads and stakeholders to define and execute on product development plans.
    • Collaborate with the product management team to ensure that products are designed and developed to meet customer needs and market demands.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of engineering projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and engineering trends to ensure that the company remains at the forefront of innovation.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
    • Ensure that the engineering team adheres to industry best practices, security standards, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage the engineering department's budget, resources, and equipment to maximize efficiency and productivity.
    • Represent the engineering department in internal and external meetings, conferences, and events.

    Customer Facing

    • Ability to communicate the highly technical subject matter in a clear and concise manner to diverse audiences.
    • Facilitate knowledge transfer and educate clients on developing and operating interfaces to and from a SaaS platform.
    • Keep feature stakeholders updated throughout the development cycle. Provide liaison with relevant parties, including product management, QA, other development teams, production, product support, etc., to facilitate the release process. Manage development-related customer escalation when needed.
    • Deep customer obsession, and DNA-level drive to ensure we build the products & features our customers actually need, will pay for, and will use to successfully drive business outcomes.

    Qualities and skills for success in the Engineering Leader role:

    • Ten+ years of experience in strategizing and solutioning the enablement of SaaS platform including integrations.
    • Hands-on experience building products with Rust, Python, React, Postgress, SQL, ElasticSearch, and other BI technologies such as Redshift and AWS or Azure Data Warehouse.
    • Hands-on experience building multitenant applications using the aforementioned technologies.
    • Experience directly speaking to and working with customers directly - great communication skills converting complex engineering topics to simple business/requirements terms.
    • Successful startup experience and/or scaling a business leveraging SLDC and CI/CD is strongly desired.
    • Experience with multi-tenant serverless and event-driven architectures.
    • Domain expertise in security, data & SaaS cloud services.
    • Experience developing partnerships with third-party companies and working as part of a managed service model.
    • Extensive technical background covering data exchange integration using technologies such as REST APIs.
    • Experience in working with Global/Regional teams.
    • Strong communication and coordination skills along with multi-tasking capabilities to get things done in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proven performance using agile methodologies.
