    DEPARTMENT: MarketingREPORTS TO: MarketingGENERAL POSITION SUMMARYIf you love baseball / softball, like traveling, enjoy helping athletes improve, and find cutting-edge consumer technology exciting, we have a great internship opportunity available! Blast Motion is looking for a few interns to travel to baseball and softball events to support Blast partners, showcase the Blast solution, and help drive sales. You’ll represent the Blast brand on-site during these events and will be responsible for setup / teardown of any Blast marketing materials. Qualified candidates need to have great attention to detail, be responsible, and have personal accountability, while thriving in a team environment and demonstrating the thrill of assisting coaches, players, and Blast partners to introduce them to our technology, share the benefits of the Blast solution and how it can help them improve their swing, and have more fun.AVAILABILITYApplications must have a flexible travel schedule to work weekdays and weekends, as needed, based on event schedule. This position will be around 30 hours of work per week.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWork with marketing management, Event Manager, and strategic partner to plan and execute events with on-site Blast Baseball / Blast Softball activationsWork with Product Support to become a subject matter expert regarding the product and all of its components. This knowledge will be used in the field at events and assisting existing accounts.Become a solution expert to provide both on-site and remote troubleshooting and trainingTrain partners and on-site event support personnel on the benefits of the Blast solutionInteract with prospects and customers at various events, as well as coaches and players at activations eventsHelp drive on-site sales at events and lead capture for sales team follow-up post eventBecome knowledgeable on seasonal campaigns and launch dates to help promote Blast salesMARKETINGWork with the Event Manager and marketing team to maintain an accurate calendar of eventsProvide photos and text updates for activities captures (in photos) to the marketing team to post on social media & for additional marketing collateral useWork with marketing team to create and place / hang promotional material at eventsADMINITSTRATIVEManage and track all inventory and giveaway requestsMake sure that all Blast sensors are getting fully charged prior to useProvide event recap reportsOther records or documentation as assignedAssist and support sales and marketing teams in a variety of different capacities as needed by the demands of the departmentQUALIFICATIONSRecent college graduate or current grad student with a degree in recreation, sport management or related majors preferredUnderstand the games of baseball and softball and their respective culturesStrong communication skills, both written and verbalStrong interpersonal skills requiredAbility to interact with diverse populations and age groupsStrong organizational and leadership abilitiesMust have transportation to sites and able to haul event supplies in targeted region (track mileage for reimbursement)WORKING CONDITIONS AND REQUIRED PHYSICAL EFFORTLocation: TexasSome physical abilities required to lift shipping packages (up to 50 pounds), demo products, setup at events, and transport product and activation assets.Interns must provide their own mode of reliable transportation and the ability to travel, support events over weekends, work up to 32 hours a week, and willingness to travel up to 70%. There will be reimbursement for mileage.
