Responsibilities: Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings Keep client files properly organized and up to date Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process Qualifications: Prior work or studies in criminal justice preferred Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) Must have worked on family law issues for at least 1-2 years; handling of real estate also required • Strong preference for candidates with at least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on family law issues Compensation: $105,000 - $175,000
