    Job Summary:

    Blavity Inc. is looking for a Brand Marketing Manager to oversee projects related to Public Relations (PR), strategic partnerships, special initiatives, and new media. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of brand development, marketing, and/or PR experience in the digital space, and will use that expertise to drive the Brand team forward in support of the company’s goals.

    This position reports directly into the Head of Brand.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with Head of Brand to establish and execute launch strategies for new initiatives
    • Execute go-to-market strategy for audio and visual content
    • Serve as Head of Brand’s proxy, as needed
    • Be the project manager on cross-departmental initiatives
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to cultivate relationships with industry leaders and influencers
    • Assist with the planning of consumer-facing events
    • Assist with identifying and securing speakers and talent for various engagements
    • Be the point of contact for outside PR firms
    • Work on podcasts and new media ventures
    • Manage influencers, brand ambassadors, and strategic partners

    Qualifications

    • Experience: 5+ years of marketing, brand development, and/or PR experience in the digital space
    • Technologies: Experience creating presentations in Google Slides and/or Powerpoint
    • Exceptional organizational skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience working with influencers, PR firms, and media outlets
    • Strong judgment and the ability to problem-solve, while also knowing when to ask questions
    • High-energy, company-first, positive attitude; must be motivated to work hard in a fast-paced environment
    • A healthy appreciation of GIFs and Black culture

    Bonus Qualifications

    • Podcast and/or video experience
    • Event coordination experience

    Details: This is a Full-Time, remote position which may require attendance to ad hoc meetings out of our DTLA office.
