    POSITION SUMMARY

    Are you an excellent writer with an understanding of AP style? Do you have good instincts for what makes a story newsworthy? Are you skilled at social media marketing and know how to capture your audience's attention? Then we want you to join Blaze Media as our newest Content Marketing Coordinator. Our BlazeTV hosts create hundreds of hours of content per week, and we need a Content Marketing Coordinator to highlight the best of the best. This is your chance to help lead the marketing for some of the nation's most prominent conservatives, including Glenn Beck and Mark Levin. The Content Marketing Coordinator will identify the best show clips, write up articles and headlines to promote them, and then distribute this content across our social channels. The ideal candidate will have solid instincts for what kind of content our audience wants to consume, the ability to write compelling and attention-grabbing headlines, and possess a keen attention to detail. They must also know how to have fun!

    This position will report to the Director of Marketing. It is anticipated that this role will be based out of our beautiful studio offices in Las Colinas, Texas.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Identify the best clips from our shows each day and write fun and engaging articles to promote that content.
    • Write excellent copy and headlines according to AP Style
    • Work with the editorial department to coordinate content selection and ensure articles follow AP style guidelines.
    • Monitor article performance and produce weekly and monthly performance reports.
    • Research and fact-check articles and show clips to ensure accuracy.
    • Distribute our content marketing articles across social media channels.
    • Assist the social media team with uploading video content to our social media channels, including writing video titles and descriptions.
    • Ensure all content complies with the community standards policies of the major social media platforms.
    • Work closely with the social media team to identify trends that could increase our distribution and reach.
    • Enforce the Company's content policy compliance
    • Collaborate with internal producers and external content providers
    • Perform additional job duties and responsibilities as assigned, based on company need

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 1-2 years overseeing and managing content for multiple online channels including websites, social media platforms and blogs
    • Strong writing chops and a familiarity with AP style
    • The ability to write an accurate headline with a good hook that will capture our audience's attention
    • Possess a strong instinct for newsworthy material. You are tuned into the news and know the issues that our audience cares about.
    • Detail-oriented, proactive, able to prioritize effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, team environment
    • Ability to work independently, can dig into detail and provide feedback or suggestions to team members and company leaders
    • Problem solving, able to pinpoint process improvement to work with teams and fix weaknesses in a timely manner
    • Comfortable working and communicating with partners across multiple technologies, time zones and locations
    • Possess a relentless attention to detail

    EDUCATION
