    Requirements:

    • Bachelor s degree in education and then Master s or Doctoral Degree in Special Education or Teaching Students with Special Needs
    • SPED Teacher s usually specialize or focus on teaching certain students (K-12th, Mild-Moderate Level Students, or even Severe Autistic students). These specifications may be listed as endorsements on their license.
    • Often work with student evaluations: IEPs (Individualized Education Program/Plan)
    • Must hold and Active Special Education State Teaching License
    • VOCO: Must have State License, 2 Years of School Experience, and Education Certificate if required.

    Job Details:

    • Location: Westminster, Vermont
    • Start & End Date: 2023/2024 School Year
    • Hours: Full Time
    • Caseload Details: Middle School

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
    • Providing specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities, tailoring approaches to meet individual learning goals and needs.
    • Assessing student progress, adapting curriculum materials, and implementing behavior management techniques to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
